Hudson Beach Glass was founded in 1987 by four glass artists: John and Wendy Gilvey, Michael Benzer and Jennifer Smith.

We hand cast glass using ancient processes to make functional and sculptural objects at our main studio, located in a renovated ice house in the Hudson Valley of New York state. All of our work is available in 13 colors with a Beach or Jewel finish.

In 2003, we opened our gallery and glass blowing demonstration studio on Main Street in Beacon, NY. We are located in a restored

firehouse just a short walk from Dia:Beacon and the Beacon Metro-North train station. See google map here.

Since 2000 the Gilvey's son, Sean, has designed drinkware for the
company. In 2008 Sean and his wife, Emily, opened Hudson Beach Glass-Philadelphia. Their studio and gallery is in the heart of the historic district at 26 S. Strawberry St, only blocks away from the Liberty Bell and Constitution Center.
